Low Cap Gem Alert: Avalanche Slips Below $9 and BNB Tests $600 While Pepeto’s 100x Window Closes Fast

0

The crypto market has seen brutal swings lately. Avalanche dropped below $9 despite promising ETF inflows. BNB tests the $600 support zone while trying to find its footing. These are established names struggling in real time.

Meanwhile, a different kind of opportunity is catching serious attention. Pepeto at $0.000000185 with three working demos, dual audits, and a presale over 70% filled. For anyone hunting the next low cap gem, the window on this one is closing fast.

Avalanche Price Drops Below $9 Despite ETF Interest

AVAX keeps sliding. The price fell below $9 for a fourth straight daily decline despite strong institutional activity. VanEck’s spot ETF attracted $4.26 million in a single day. The largest inflow since its January launch.

But the Avalanche price didn’t respond. Selling pressure and cautious positioning continue to cap any recovery. On chain data shows early bullish signals including whale accumulation and buy side dominance. Yet derivatives metrics remain mixed. Until conviction builds across all markets, AVAX may struggle to stage a meaningful comeback even with improving fundamentals.

BNB Tests $600 Support With Eyes on $760

BNB is holding a crucial support zone near $600 after a sharp corrective decline. The selling has shifted into tight consolidation just above this demand area. That suggests bearish pressure may be fading. The market is attempting to stabilize rather than extend losses.

The next resistance stands near $760. If $600 holds firmly, BNB could build a recovery targeting that level as sell pressure eases. A breakdown below support would delay any rebound and invite fresh downside. For now, BNB needs time and a broader market shift to reclaim higher ground.

The Low Cap Gem Everyone Is Talking About: Pepeto

Have you ever watched a friend buy something tiny that turned into something massive? That feeling of wishing you had just listened? That is what this presale window feels like for the people already inside.

Pepeto built three working demos before opening the presale. A cross chain swap. A bridge. And a decentralized exchange. All three are live for presale participants to test right now. This is the trading infrastructure the meme coin economy has been missing. Dual audits from SolidProof and Coinsult back the code. The original Pepe cofounder is connected to the project. Zero percent tax.

Over $7.258M raised at $0.000000185. The presale passed 70% filled and the pace is accelerating.

Think about what Dogecoin did. A joke coin with no products climbed from fractions of a cent to $0.74. Thousands of ordinary people became millionaires from that single move. Now picture a project with DOGE’s viral appeal but with three actual tools that generate real token demand. That is Pepeto.

Even a $500 entry at this price secures an enormous position. Staking at 212% APY adds roughly $1,060 per year. But the staking just sweetens the deal. Major listings are ahead and when exchange volume starts flowing through those three products, the demand for PEPETO tokens multiplies. A $50 million market cap delivers 100x. DOGE exceeded $50 billion with nothing. The gap between where Pepeto is and where it could go is what makes this the low cap gem of the year.

Pepeto Rising as the Next Big Move

Recent dips in Avalanche and BNB show that even major coins face unpredictable swings. AVAX under $9 and BNB around $600 remind everyone that size doesn’t guarantee safety.

Pepeto offers something different entirely. Working demos. Dual audits. A presale filling fast at $0.000000185. Early positioning at this level gives participants an edge that disappears the moment exchange trading begins. Don’t be the person who watches this one from the sidelines.

FAQs

What is the best low cap gem in crypto right now?

Pepeto at $0.000000185 with three working demos, dual audits, and 70%+ presale fill rate. A $50M market cap delivers 100x. That is textbook low cap gem territory.

Will Avalanche price recover in 2026?

AVAX trades below $9 despite ETF inflows. Whale accumulation is positive but derivatives data remains mixed. Recovery depends on broader market conviction returning.

Can a $500 Pepeto investment make real money?

Dogecoin went from fractions of a cent to $0.74 with no products. At $0.000000185, a $500 Pepeto entry could become $50,000 at 100x. Three working demos make this a stronger setup than DOGE ever had.

Polymarket Faces New Roadblock As Dutch Regulator Bans Prediction Activity — Details

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

According to recent reports, the Dutch arm of the prediction markets platform Polymarket has been asked to cease its activities in the Netherlands. This order comes as the latest regulatory blow dealt to the prediction market platform in recent weeks.

Dutch Regulator Threatens Polymarket With $840,000 Fine

In a notice dated Tuesday, February 17, the Netherlands Gambling Authority ordered Polymarket’s Dutch arm, Adventure One, to “cease its activities immediately” or risk incurring up to $840,000 in fines per week. According to the Dutch regulator, Adventure One offered illegal bets, including on the local elections, to residents without a license.

While prediction markets do not particularly fall into the traditional gambling category, the Netherlands Gambling Authority has classified them as betting. The regulator revealed that it contacted Polymarket about its activities on the Dutch market, but have seen no corrective action or response from the prediction markets company.

Netherlands Gambling Authority’s director of licensing and supervision, Ella Seijsener, said in the notice:

Prediction markets are on the rise, including in the Netherlands. These types of companies offer bets that are not permitted in our market under any circumstances, not even by license holders. Besides the social risks of these kinds of predictions (for example, the potential influence on elections), we conclude that this constitutes illegal gambling. Anyone without a Ksa license has no business in our market. This also applies to these new gambling platforms.

This restriction in the Netherlands marks the latest stumbling block for Polymarket in terms of regulation over the past few months. Despite receiving approvals from the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), individual state authorities have placed significant scrutiny on the activities of prediction market platforms.

This has led to an issue of jurisdiction, as the CFTC chair criticized the state-level scrutiny which undermines their federal authority over prediction markets.

Dutch Unrealized Gains Tax On Crypto Rolls On

This crackdown on prediction markets comes just a week after the Dutch House of Representatives advanced a proposal to introduce a 36% capital gains tax on most liquid investments, including cryptocurrencies. This controversial bill, if passed, would see profits made from interest-bearing financial instruments, equity investments, cryptocurrencies, and savings accounts be subject to tax, whether realized or not.

The proposal of this capital gains tax led to interesting reactions, with several crypto analysts noting that the legislation will drive investors out of the Netherlands. “To be honest, the fact that there’s the unrealized gains tax for Bitcoin in the Netherlands is the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a long time. The amount of people willing to flee the country is going to be bananas,”  analyst Michaël van de Poppe said on X.

Bitcoin, Ethereum hold firm as Trump announces global tariff hike – DL News

0

  • The US Supreme Court on Friday struck down President Trump’s tariff policy.
  • Trump on Saturday announced new tariffs.
  • Bitcoin and Ethereum — previously hurt by Trump’s trade war — are holding steady.

The price of Bitcoin and Ethereum held steady on Saturday after US President Donald Trump said he would raise temporary tariffs on almost all imports from 10% to 15%.

Bitcoin was up nearly 2% over a 24-hour period, trading at $68,273, at midday in New York, according to CoinGecko. Ethereum rose by 2% over the same time and was trading hands for close to $1,987.

Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, that the move would be “effective immediately” on the “countries, many of which have been ‘ripping’ the US off for decades, without retribution (until I came along!).”

The announcement came after the Supreme Court struck down his previous tariff program as invalid on Friday.

Trump had hours after the court’s ruling imposed a 10% global tariff on foreign goods.

Tariff shock no more?

Crypto markets have previously reacted negatively to Trump’s trade announcements. In April, Trump’s Liberation Day speech shed billions of dollars off Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP.

Markets then rebounded but were shocked again in May following further threats on the European Union.

Though markets are less volatile now with Bitcoin and Ethereum well below the records they set in 2025 following two brutal selloffs. Crypto prices have struggled to recover following the biggest liquidation event in the history of the industry back in October.

Bitcoin rose only slightly after the Supreme Court struck down Trump’s signature tariff policy on Friday, ruling that the president had acted unlawfully in applying the reciprocal tariffs.

ETF flows

Price action from Bitcoin and Ethereum comes after a week of more redemptions from top US exchange-traded funds.

US investors cashed out nearly $316 million from the Bitcoin funds this week, with Friday the only day with positive flows. Their Ethereum counterparts, meanwhile, lost over $123 million.

Heavy redemptions from the products — managed by the likes of BlackRock, Fidelity, and Grayscale — usually come as prices take a hit, and Bitcoin and Ethereum over the past seven days are down 2% and 5%, respectively.

Bitcoin Rises After Supreme Court Rules Against Trump Tariffs

0

In brief

  • Bitcoin gained after the Supreme Court ruled against President Trump on tariffs.
  • The digital asset initially fell alongside gold, but both asset prices then ticked up.
  • Justice Brett Kavanaugh described tariff refunds as a potential “mess.”

The price of Bitcoin ticked up on Friday after the Supreme Court ruled that most of President Donald Trump’s tariffs were imposed in a way that exceeded his authority.

The digital asset recently changed hands around $67,271, a 1% increase over the past day, according to CoinGecko. Bitcoin had fallen as low as $66,900 immediately after the decision’s release at 10 a.m. ET, then rose to nearly $67,800 before dipping again.

The Supreme Court determined that Trump’s tariffs were not allowed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), a 1977 law that allows the president to regulate certain foreign economic transactions in the event of a national emergency.

In his majority opinion for the 6-3 decision, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that the Trump administration’s understanding of the IEEPA would “represent a transformative expansion of the President’s authority over tariff policy” that has no precedent.

Last year, Trump’s efforts to reshape global trade upended global markets, pushing Bitcoin as low as $76,300 in April from a post-election high of $106,000 months before. The president has since softened his stance on “reciprocal” tariffs, but he continues to threaten countries with levies to achieve his international goals.

The decision won’t affect all of Trump’s tariffs, but his eagerness to impose levies has stoked geopolitical and economic uncertainties for much of his second term, whether that’s a strain on the U.S. existing trade alliances or the prospect of higher inflation.

Those fears have benefited gold prices, which rose 1.8% to $5,090 per ounce on Friday, according to Yahoo Finance. It fell to $5,000 earlier in the day.

Trump called the Supreme Court’s decision a “disgrace,” per CNN, which cited two people familiar with the matter. The president indicated that he also has a backup plan.

In his dissent, Justice Brett Kavanaugh underscored that the decision has no bearing on whether the White House will need to refund billions of dollars in collected tariff revenue. If lower courts determine that the move is proper, “that process is likely to be a ‘mess,’” he added.

Bitcoin Hashpower Returns, Difficulty Sees Biggest Jump In Months

0

Trusted Editorial content, reviewed by leading industry experts and seasoned editors. Ad Disclosure

Bitcoin hashing power pushed the difficulty up about 15% to a little past 144 trillion on Friday, based on data from CoinWarz. That move reversed an earlier drop of 10% that followed widespread outages in parts of the US.

The numbers are blunt: machines went quiet during extreme weather, then came back online, and the protocol rebalanced itself.

Winter Outages And The Bounce Back

Foundry USA’s pool saw a dramatic swing in computing power, falling near 198 EH/s before climbing from roughly 400 EH/s. Reports say that many operators in affected regions shut down temporarily during the winter storms to protect equipment and help grids.

Some of the spaces that host miners coordinated with utilities. Power was conserved. Power was redirected.

Flexible Power Deals Changed The Game

Reports note that several miners did more than pause operations. LM Funding America reported curtailing machines and sending contracted power back to the grid, pocketing curtailment payments that helped offset lost mining time.

Canaan Inc. also said its US sites took part in demand response moves with local partners. These arrangements are part of why many facilities can afford to go offline when the grid needs relief, then restart when conditions improve.

Source: CoinWarz

What Higher Difficulty Means

Bitcoin’s difficulty is designed to reset every 2,016 blocks to hold average block times close to the 10-minute target. When more hash power returns, the algorithm raises difficulty. That makes the network harder to attack and raises the work needed to win a block reward.

For miners, higher difficulty reduces the Bitcoin earned per unit of compute, squeezing margins for outfits with older rigs or higher electricity bills.

Price Moves Stay Tied To Headlines

Bitcoin traded near $68,000 as markets reacted to rising geopolitical strain, especially between the US and Iran. Trading has felt cautious. Volume is lighter. Prices have bounced and then stalled on headline-driven flows, showing that investor mood still swings with global news.

At the same time, network metrics kept shifting under the surface — a reminder that technical and macro drivers can pull in different directions.

Bitcoin is now trading at $67,974. Chart: TradingView

The US now supplies a big chunk of global hash power, according to Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. That means regional events, weather, and grid policies in the US matter a lot to global security and miner economics.

Some firms have begun to treat mining as a flexible load that can stabilize grids during stress, creating new income streams beyond pure block rewards.

Politics And Market Tone

Comments from politicians and geopolitical moves add friction. Mentions of US President Donald Trump in recent headlines have been tied to broader market nervousness; geopolitics can pull risk appetite downward and keep crypto prices range-bound.

The difficulty rebound itself didn’t spark a big price jump. Instead, it reinforced a simple truth: the protocol handled the shock, but miners felt the squeeze.

Bitcoin Quantum Threat Takes Center Stage at Ethereum Conference

0

In brief

  • BIP 360 co-authors say Bitcoin signatures are the main quantum risk for the blockchain.
  • About 30% of Bitcoin sits under exposed public keys.
  • As quantum hardware thresholds fall, Bitcoin and Ethereum devs alike are ramping up quantum planning.

While this year’s Ethereum developer conference, ETH Denver, focused on building in a down market and empowering AI agents via blockchain, one panel examined whether Bitcoin’s cryptography can survive in a post-quantum world.

Onstage this week, the focus on Bitcoin’s ability to survive the quantum computing threat was narrow, focusing on what could actually break first. According to Hunter Beast, co-author of BIP 360—a proposal that aims to solve the blockchain’s quantum conundrum—confusion often starts with Bitcoin’s hashing algorithm.

“Hash algorithms like SHA-256 are actually believed to be very difficult for even the most ideal, biggest quantum computer we can imagine,” Beast said. “We theorize that we would need a quantum computer bigger than the moon to break 256-bit hash-based cryptography using Grover’s algorithm.”

First developed by computer scientist Lov Grover in 1996, Grover’s algorithm, also known as the quantum search algorithm, speeds up brute-force search, reducing the effective security of hash functions such as Bitcoin’s SHA-256 hashing algorithm.

“That’s not really what we’re worried about in the next five years,” Beast said. “What we’re worried about in the next five years are signatures, and that goes over with Shor’s.”

Developed in 1994 by mathematician Peter Shor, Shor’s algorithm targets the mathematics behind public-key cryptography. Bitcoin relies on elliptic curve cryptography for digital signatures, and Shor’s algorithm can reverse-engineer private keys from public keys if a quantum computer is powerful enough.

Alex Pruden, chief executive of blockchain cybersecurity firm Project Eleven, described what that would mean.

“Ownership in Bitcoin is entirely conferred by your ability to sign a digital signature,” Pruden said during the panel. “With Shor’s algorithm, just knowing your public key—the thing that’s supposed to be safe to share—is enough to reverse engineer your private key. That means I own your Bitcoin simply by knowing your public key.”

Today’s machines cannot do that. However, Pruden pointed to recent technical milestones by Google, IBM, and others in quantum computing, which could portend further rapid developments ahead.

“In December 2024, Google announced Willow, a quantum computer that demonstrated below‑threshold error correction,” Pruden said. “Until that point, people doubted whether quantum computing could ever scale, and Google demonstrated definitively that, yes, this can scale.”

The discussion comes as the broader crypto industry increases preparations for the day when a practical quantum computer comes online.

The Ethereum Foundation recently formed a post-quantum security team, and Coinbase convened an advisory board to study quantum risks to Bitcoin and other digital assets. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has described the issue as “solvable,” even as researchers debate how urgent the threat is.

Estimates of the hardware required to break Bitcoin’s signature scheme have shifted. As recently as 2021, researchers projected it would take roughly 20 million qubits to break Bitcoin’s cryptography. Last week, researchers at Iceberg Quantum suggested that the number could fall to around 100,000 qubits.

Exposure already exists, according to Project Eleven, which tracks what it calls the “Bitcoin Risq List.” According to the list, over 6.9 million total coins are in addresses with exposed public keys, including 1.7 million coins mined during Bitcoin’s early years.

“Basically, a third of the supply would be vulnerable to what we call a long exposure attack,” Beast said.

Isabel Foxen Duke, Beast’s co-author on BIP 360, said the problem is not purely technical.

“There are a lot of challenges with Bitcoin and quantum-hardening Bitcoin that have nothing to do with post-quantum cryptography,” she said.

Some older coins, Foxen-Duke, may never migrate to quantum-safe addresses, including those believed to belong to Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.

“There are proposals out there to freeze Satoshi’s coins and all pay-to-public-key addresses completely,” she said. “I think those are the more controversial, more complicated, and in some ways more interesting questions, because getting consensus around something like that is going to be an incredibly difficult and politically challenging problem to solve.”

However, she warned that if quantum capability arrives before consensus on migration, it would be catastrophic for the Bitcoin network.

“If 4 million Bitcoin hit the market in a matter of hours once a quantum computer arises and somebody actually takes advantage of it, that’s a potentially Bitcoin‑project‑destroying event, regardless of whether or not we have post‑quantum cryptography,” Foxen Duke said.
