Called Payments, the PSP enables firms to programmatically open payment accounts and move money via ACH, wire, RTP/FedNow, push-to-card, and stablecoins, including USDG, USDP, and USDC, with USDT coming soon.

Under the hood, Payments is built on the same Modern Treasury orchestration layer, ledger, and reconciliation system that has processed more than $400 billion for companies like Anchorage Digital, Float, Gusto, Navan, Procore, and Sling Money.

Modern Treasury says the offering lets clients go live with products in days not months, benefit from one API for both fiat and stablecoins, and get usage-based pricing.

The company is leaning heavily into stablecoins after acquiring Beam late last year. It has since partnered with Paxos to integrate regulated stablecoins and settlement into its platform and has joined the Global Dollar Network to support broader adoption.

Matt Marcus, CEO, Modern Treasury, says: “Too many companies are held back by unreliable payments infrastructure and slow, complex bank integrations. With Payments, we’re giving teams a faster path to market than BaaS or securing their own bank sponsorships.”

Ledn Sells $188M Bitcoin-Backed Bonds In Unprecedented Deal

Crypto lender Ledn Inc. has sold $188 million in securitized bonds backed by Bitcoin-linked loans, marking a first-of-its-kind deal in the asset-backed debt market.

The transaction includes two bond tranches, according to Bloomberg, one of which received an investment-grade rating and priced at a spread of 335 basis points over the benchmark rate, according to people familiar with the matter. Jefferies Financial Group Inc. served as the sole structuring agent and bookrunner.

The bonds are secured by a pool of more than 5,400 consumer loans issued by Ledn, where borrowers used their Bitcoin holdings as collateral, according to an S&P Global Ratings report.

The loans carry a weighted average interest rate of 11.8%.

Bitcoin’s price volatility remains a central risk. Loans tied to the cryptocurrency can fall underwater if prices decline sharply.
