Infosys has agreed a deal with AWS aimed at increasing the use of generative AI internally and across its customer base.

The Indian consulting and digital services company will integrate its Topaz AI platform with Amazon Q Developer, AWS’ generative AI-powered assistant, for clients across manufacturing, telecommunications, financial services and consumer goods, the companies said Wednesday.

Topaz currently incorporates more than 12,000 AI assets, more than 150 pre-trained AI models and 10 AI platforms. Infosys said it will utilize Topaz to fuel AI-powered advances across key areas, citing software development, human resources, recruitment, sales and vendor management as areas of focus.

The combination of tools will bring benefits such as automation of documentation and tailored support for code generation, debugging, testing and modernization of legacy code, improving workflows in the process by streamlining tasks and delivering greater productivity, the companies said in the release.

“Infosys is setting a new benchmark for enterprise transformation through the strategic adoption of generative AI at scale,” said Sandeep Dutta, AWS president for India and South Asia. “The combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz will help organizations innovate, achieve operational agility, and unlock differentiated value for their clients.”
