EBAday is known as the conference where industry leaders come together to pave the way for the next generation of payments, and here, the Fintech Zone will return for its sixth year as a designated high-impact accelerator where tomorrow’s most agile early-stage startups demonstrate how they’re the perfect partner for banks.

Applications for the Fintech Zone at EBAday, the annual summit for leading payments and transaction banking executives, held this time in the Bella Centre in Copenhagen, Denmark from 16-17 June 2026, are open!
Finextra and the Euro Banking Association (EBA) are encouraging those looking to gain exposure for their proof of concepts or existing offerings to apply to be one of the 16 that will share a demo with hundreds of senior banking decision-makers filtering through the exhibition hall during the two-day event.
Alongside the public validation that signals to EBAday attendees that the product or service is genuinely innovative and bank-ready, the winner will receive an article highlighting their concept on Finextra.com, a FinextraTV interview, and ‘Fintech Zone Winner’ social media assets.
The visibility that the Fintech Zone win can offer translates to ready-made new customers, strategic partnerships and faster credibility with banks and regulators. By attending the event, finalists and winners spend two days in a purpose-built innovation zone, meeting the senior payments leaders that will be their clients in the future. This has been proven by the success that previous EBAday Fintech Zone winners have achieved, here’s where they are now.
2019 Fintech Zone winner: Bleckwen
Fraud prevention solution provider Bleckwen was named the winner in 2019 and just days later, came out of stealth to announce a $10 million first funding round. At the time, it was announced that the funding would be used to support Bleckwen’s international expansion and the continued development of their software in AI-based fraud detection. Since then, Bleckwen has built solutions with BNP Paribas and Carrefour Banque & Assurance and occupies a central role in product development, helping lenders protect themselves and their clients against financial crime.
2022 Fintech Zone winner: Otoma
System implementation and testing fintech Otoma won the prize at EBAday in 2022, where they demonstrated how their leadership team of fintech veterans can implement mission critical systems. The team includes Reuven Ben Menachem, the founder and former CEO of Fundtech that was sold to D+H for $1.25 billion. Today, Otoma continues to offer low-code payments platforms, open API connectivity, and test automation technology to deliver and manage change efficiently.
2023 Fintech Zone winner: iPiD
iPiD was the 2023 Fintech Zone winner for their solution that validates payee accounts and handles data to identify and manage fraud and failed payments. Their mission is to make cross border payments secure and seamless, and at the time, Alain Raes, founding partner and chief, iPiD, said: “We have proved that we can create a solution that the market needs.” A year after their win in June 2024, iPiD raised $5.3 million in an over-subscribed pre-Series A round led by Monk’s Hill Ventures to roll out a Verification of Payee product.
2024 Fintech Zone winner: Lune
Lune was crowned the 2024 Fintech Zone winner and since then, the fintech firm has worked to make every product climate positive by default through their API. While Lune’s emissions intelligence collects spend and activity data, uses AI and advanced technologies to deliver the precise scope 3 data their customers need to report and reduce their emissions, it also eliminates the need for complex, manual inputs. Embedded into workflows, Lune empowers users to make greener decisions in real-time, increasing customer loyalty and product stickiness. The likes of Visa, Salesforce and JAS Worldwide are currently working with Lune Climate.
2025 Fintech Zone winner: Authologic
Winner of the 2025 Fintech Zone Authologic was developed to ‘supercharge’ existing KYC with e-IDs. Responding to the influx of fraud and deepfakes online, Authologic has created a platform where digital identity verification can be seamless and automatic. Without manual checks, and avoiding deepfakes or forged documents, the firm can add digital IDs to existing KYC/KYB and AML infrastructure. Today, Authologic’s goal is to build trust back into the internet and make identity reliable, secure, and easy.
There is no question that all EBAday Fintech Zone winners have been successful. Each has used the platform not only as a moment of recognition, but as a sprinboard to turn visibility into credibility, credibility into partnerships, and partnerships into real commercial momentum.
Applying for or being nominated for the prize, plus being invited to demo your product and winning the Fintech Zone shows the financial services sector that your firm has a stamp of approval that will help consistently open doors that would otherwise take years to access. A Fintech Zone win is a milestone that validates your product, sharpens its narrative and accelerates your company’s trajectory far beyond the two days spent at EBAday.
