ACE Money Transfer, a UK-based global remittance provider, is leveraging its Irish operations as a strategic hub to scale its services across the wider European continent.

The company, which is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as a payment institution, aims to replicate its growth in the Irish market to challenge the broader European remittance landscape. The move positions Ireland as the launchpad for ACE’s next phase of growth, leveraging the country’s regulatory framework under the European Union (Payment Services) Regulations 2018.

ACE plans to deploy a digital-first strategy to compete with legacy financial systems, focusing on speed and affordability for expatriates and migrant workers. The expansion involves scaling digital solutions tailored to specific European demographics, while simultaneously strengthening regulatory compliance and local governance frameworks.

Arslan Naeem, CEO at ACE Money Transfer Limited (AMTL) Ireland, commented on the strategic shift:

“Ireland is just the beginning. We’re entering Europe with purpose and precision to raise the bar for what remittance services can be. Our investments in technology, partnerships, and user experience will allow us to connect communities better than ever before.”

To support this wider rollout, the company is forging strategic partnerships with local financial institutions and service providers. It is also investing in multilingual and multicultural customer support systems to cater to the diverse user base across the continent.

Ireland as a fintech hub

The expansion highlights Ireland’s enduring appeal as a gateway for financial services firms looking to access the EU market.

Denis Curran, head of international financial services at IDA Ireland, welcomed the move:

“ACE Money Transfer’s decision highlights Ireland’s reputation as a prime destination for financial services firms to establish, thrive, and expand their international reach. I wish ACE every success in their continued growth.”

Operating in over 100 countries, ACE Money Transfer connects millions of users worldwide. The company views this European push as a critical step in making cross-border transfers more accessible as remittances continue to play a vital role in the region’s economic structure.
