Bron, the digital asset self-custody platform founded by Copper creator Dmitry Tokarev, has joined The Hashgraph Association’s Global Membership Program, expanding its connections with businesses developing financial applications on Hedera.
The company already supports HBAR and Hedera-based tokens. Users can hold and swap digital assets through an interface connecting to independent smart contracts and third-party solvers. The announcement did not disclose a new investment or commercial agreement.
Tokarev, who previously founded institutional cryptocurrency custodian Copper, launched Bron to bring institutional-grade security capabilities to individuals and businesses without requiring them to surrender control of their assets.
Bron raised $15 million in funding in 2025 from investors including LocalGlobe, Fasanara Digital and GSR, according to Bloomberg.
The platform uses multi-party computation (MPC) to distribute cryptographic key shares across a user’s device, Bron and independent recovery provider Qrypt. It also offers transaction approvals, team permissions and recovery mechanisms.
The architecture reduces dependence on traditional seed phrases, although security still depends on multiple systems and operational safeguards.
“We are moving towards financial markets in which assets, collateral and settlement increasingly operate on-chain, bringing with them individuals and businesses that expect the same standards of security and control they would demand anywhere else they hold their wealth,” Tokarev said.
Hedera Expands Its Institutional Infrastructure
The membership program of Hashgraph Association now includes more than 190 corporate members. The Swiss non-profit reports deploying over $100 million in funding across more than 150 projects within the Hedera ecosystem.
Another member, Swiss digital asset infrastructure provider Taurus, completed an 18-month Hedera integration in August 2026.
Taurus technology serves more than 40 banks and regulated financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank and State Street. Those institutions can now access Hedera custody, staking and tokenization infrastructure, although the announcement did not establish how many have deployed live Hedera products.
Competition Intensifies as Tokenization Expands
Bron faces established competitors in the digital asset security market.
Fireblocks says more than 2,500 enterprises use its digital asset infrastructure. Paxos acquired MPC wallet provider Fordefi in November 2025, gaining technology then used by nearly 300 institutions.
Demand for secure asset management is also expanding beyond cryptocurrencies.
Data from RWA.xyz placed the distributed value of tokenized real-world assets at $39.04 billion on October 26, 2026. Their growing use creates demand for transaction authorization, recovery and settlement infrastructure.
