The move would be part of a funding round in which the ChatGPT creator is seeking over $100 billion.

Banking giants Santander, BBVA, and CommBank partnered with OpenAI in 2025 to boost their AI capabilities.

The investment would replace the up to $100 billion investment Nvidia committed in September 2025 to supply OpenAI with chips for their datacentres.

In September 2025, Nvidia invested £2 billion into the UK AI ecosystem.
